FNF VS Hypno’s Lullaby Reboot takes the familiar music battles of Friday Night Funkin’ into a creepy Pokémon-inspired story. Boyfriend disappears during the night, and Girlfriend sets out to find him. Her search leads to Hypno and a strange world filled with frightening characters, eerie music and unexpected surprises.
This reboot brings new animations, redesigned characters and fresh challenges. You still follow musical notes, but some songs ask you to handle other tasks while keeping up with the rhythm.
Girlfriend’s Search for Boyfriend
Girlfriend’s adventure brings her to the Cabinet of Novelties, where a mysterious character called the Collector offers unusual games.
As you explore, you discover more about the strange characters and the danger surrounding Girlfriend. The story unfolds through conversations, animated scenes and musical battles.
Three Songs with Different Challenges
The current demo includes three songs. Each one introduces a different experience.
- Safety Lullaby: Girlfriend faces Hypno and his swinging pendulum.
- Monochrome: A frightening version of Gold appears alongside strange letter symbols and unsettling animations.
- Chimera: Serena encounters Hex Maniac in a song filled with unusual events and changing gameplay.
The songs don’t all follow the same pattern. Some moments require extra attention beyond the ordinary music notes.
Follow the Arrows and Keep the Rhythm
Use the arrow keys or W, A, S and D to match the notes as they reach their targets.
During Hypno’s song, you also need to watch the pendulum. Press Space at the correct moment while continuing to follow the music.
Missing too many notes or failing special challenges can end your attempt. The game also offers Baby Mode to make certain difficult parts easier.
