Lines to Fill is a colorful puzzle game about covering empty spaces. Each level gives you a shape made from small squares and a few colored starting blocks. You need to stretch the colors across the board until every available space is filled.

The first puzzles give you simple shapes to complete. Later arrangements need more planning because the paths must fit together without leaving empty squares behind.

There are no opponents to defeat and no countdown to beat. You can spend as much time as you need finding the right solution.

Draw Colors Across the Board

The controls in Lines to Fill are straightforward. Choose a colored starting block and drag to extend its path across the empty squares.

On a computer, use the left mouse button to draw. On a phone or tablet, you can drag your finger across the board.

As you move, the colored line fills the spaces along its route. The aim is to use the available starting blocks to cover the entire puzzle shape.

You complete a level once every required square contains a color.

Give Every Color Enough Room

A common problem in Lines to Fill comes from filling the easiest spaces first. You may create a long path and then discover that another color has nowhere useful to go.

Look at the shape before drawing. Notice the narrow passages and small corners.

Try to imagine how each colored path can reach different areas. A long line may work well through an open section, while another color may need a shorter route through a tight space.

You can adjust your approach and try another arrangement whenever the colors don’t fit.

Hundreds of Shapes to Solve

Lines to Fill includes hundreds of puzzles with different layouts. The challenge changes as the available spaces become more complicated.

Some boards have wide open areas that are easy to cover. Others contain narrow sections that need careful planning.

You don’t need fast reactions to progress. Understanding the shape is much more useful than dragging your mouse as quickly as possible.

The game also has no traditional losing condition, so a difficult puzzle doesn’t punish you for trying something new.

A Relaxing Way to Practice Planning

Lines to Fill is a good choice for players who enjoy quiet thinking games. The colorful paths make it easy to see which parts of the puzzle you have completed.

You can solve a few levels during a short break or continue through several puzzles in one sitting.

A useful habit is to study the corners before drawing the longest path. These small spaces can become difficult to fill when another color gets in the way.

Each finished puzzle leaves you with a neatly colored shape and another layout to work on.
