The Champions – Lead Your Country to the World Cup Trophy
The Champions is a 3D soccer game where you choose a national team and try to take it all the way through a World Cup tournament. Instead of controlling only one striker or taking penalty kicks, you play full matches and control the active player on your team.
There are 32 national teams to choose from. Once you pick your country, the challenge is to survive seven matches and reach the final. Every game matters because a poor result can end the tournament before you ever get close to the trophy.
Pass Instead of Running Alone
The arrow keys or W, A, S, and D move the active player. X or N passes the ball. C or M takes a shot.
Passing becomes important when defenders crowd around the player with the ball. Trying to run straight through the whole opposing team usually gives them an easy chance to steal possession.
A short pass can move the ball into open space. Passing also lets you switch the attack from one player to another and create a better angle toward goal.
When the other team has possession, control moves to one of your defenders. You then need to close down the player with the ball and try to win it back.
Make Your Shots Count
Getting close to goal gives you a better chance to score, but the goalkeeper still needs to be beaten.
The direction of your player affects where the shot travels. Moving into a useful position before pressing the shoot button can make a big difference.
The Champions also includes bonus challenges connected to your performance. Certain goals and achievements can open extra content beyond the normal tournament.
The short match format keeps every game moving. A single goal can become important when there is little time left, so attacking without leaving huge gaps in defense matters.
The Champions gives you a simple path to follow. Pick a country, win the group matches, survive the knockout rounds, reach the final, and try to lift the World Cup trophy.
