Fight Through Crowds of Zombies

Daytraders of the Dead is a fast top-down shooting game where the player faces large groups of zombies. Instead of slowly searching through dark rooms, the game puts the action right in front of you. Enemies can fill the screen, so staying in one place for too long can quickly become dangerous.

The player moves around each area while aiming with the mouse. Holding the mouse button keeps the weapon firing. This makes it possible to move away from danger while still shooting at approaching zombies.

There are six main levels to complete. Each area brings another fight against the infected and gives the player more chances to collect money, weapons, and useful power-ups.

Carry One Weapon at a Time

Daytraders of the Dead gives the player several weapons, but there is an important rule. Only one weapon can be carried at a time.

This makes weapon pickups a real choice.

A gun on the ground may look stronger than the one already in use, but picking it up means leaving the current weapon behind. Sometimes keeping a familiar weapon is safer. In another situation, changing weapons can make it much easier to deal with a large group.

The player needs to watch both the zombies and the items scattered around the battlefield.

Grab Money and Powerful Pickups

Defeated zombies can leave useful rewards behind. Money and other pickups give players another reason to move around instead of hiding in one corner.

Some of the power-ups are much more unusual than ordinary guns. Airstrikes and nukes can cause heavy damage across the area. Radial saw blades provide another way to tear through enemies. Chrono-Bind changes the action by affecting time.

Even a school bus can become part of the chaos.

These items help when the number of zombies becomes difficult to control.

Try Survival Mode

Players who want a different challenge can enter Survival Mode.

Instead of concentrating on reaching the end of six normal stages, Survival Mode asks the player to stay alive against continuing waves of undead enemies. The longer the fight lasts, the more important movement becomes.

Standing still allows zombies to surround the character from several directions. Moving through open space gives the player more room to aim and escape.

Keep Moving and Keep Firing

Daytraders of the Dead keeps its controls simple. W, A, S, and D move the character, while the mouse handles aiming and shooting.

The challenge comes from dealing with everything happening at once. Zombies approach from different directions. Weapons appear on the ground. Money needs to be collected. Powerful pickups can completely change a difficult fight.

Daytraders of the Dead focuses on straightforward arcade action rather than a long story. The six-level campaign gives players a clear path to finish, while Survival Mode provides a place to test how long they can last. Large zombie crowds, unusual weapons, and powerful battlefield bonuses keep the action moving from the first fight to the last.
