Fight a Battle Inside the Computer World

Hacker vs Hacker is a strategy game where two computer systems fight against each other. Instead of placing medieval towers or sending soldiers into battle, you work with digital defenses, malicious programs, computer resources, and upgrades.

Your job has two sides. You must protect your own system from incoming threats while preparing attacks against the rival hacker.

Ignoring either side can cause problems. A powerful attack does not help much when your own defenses collapse. Building a huge defensive network may keep you safe, but you still need a way to damage the opponent.

Build Before the Enemy Breaks Through

Enemy programs travel toward your computer during the battle.

You can place defensive structures along their route and use them to stop the attack. Choosing the right locations matters because a badly positioned defense may have little time to deal with an incoming threat.

Damaged structures can also require attention. Repairing an important defense may make more sense than replacing it with something completely new.

MoneyMaker units help generate money, while Coprocessors provide processing power. These resources support the rest of your strategy.

Send Trouble in the Other Direction

Hacker vs Hacker does not make you wait for enemies forever.

You can research harmful programs and send them toward the computer on the opposite side. Your opponent has defenses too, so stronger attacks become useful as the battle develops.

This creates constant choices. Spending resources on malware may delay a defensive upgrade. Building another protective structure may mean waiting longer before launching your next attack.

The most effective approach often changes during a match.

Improve Your Computer Setup

Progress does not depend only on what you build during one battle.

The game includes upgrades that help improve your hacker and computer setup. Stronger tools give you more choices when later opponents begin putting up tougher resistance.

Special challenges also add some variety beyond the regular battles.

Mouse controls handle most of the action, including selecting structures, placing defenses, and managing attacks. Keyboard shortcuts can make some actions quicker.

Hacker vs Hacker gives tower-defense ideas a computer-themed twist. You watch both sides of the battlefield, manage resources, repair important equipment, research attacks, and decide exactly when to spend your limited funds.
