About FNF: Hedgehog Speed
FNF: Hedgehog Speed brings Sonic-inspired characters, artwork, and music into the rhythm-battle format of Friday Night Funkin’. Across eight playable tracks, the game moves between familiar hedgehog imagery and stranger, darker versions of that world. Different character designs, changing backgrounds, and dramatic camera effects give the songs their own identities.
The Sonic theme goes beyond the menu graphics. Characters and scenes change throughout the game, and some tracks include transformations as the music progresses. The result is a collection of battles with distinct visual settings, rather than a single stage repeated across the entire song list.
How to Play
Watch the incoming notes and press the matching arrow keys when they line up with the stationary arrows. Timing matters: accurate hits build your score and combo, while missed notes reduce your health. Keep up with the chart to reach the end of the track.
The four arrow keys handle note input. In the menus, use the arrow keys to move between choices and Enter to confirm. You can also use the mouse to select menu items. Press Enter during a song to pause, and use F to toggle fullscreen.
Start with a track that feels comfortable, then work toward sections with faster sequences or more complicated patterns. Learning the rhythm and recognizing repeated note combinations can help you improve without having to react to every arrow individually.
All Songs in FNF: Hedgehog Speed
This version includes eight playable songs:
- Captured
- Warning
- Hunting
- Endless Forest
- Audio Test
- No Breath
- Stone Chasers
- Im Sowy
The charts retain their individual difficulty labels, including Standard, USA, JP, and sowy. These labels belong to particular tracks; they do not represent four difficulty options available for every song.
Freeplay lets you choose a track directly, making it useful for practicing a favorite chart or exploring the full soundtrack at your own pace.
Story Mode and Changing Scenes
Story Mode connects Captured, Warning, and Hunting into a sequence, with cutscenes accompanying those battles. It offers a more continuous way to experience that part of the mod, while Freeplay gives you immediate access to the wider song selection.
Several tracks change their presentation during play. Character swaps, transformations, and scene zooms accompany particular sections of the music. These moments add variety, but the note arrows remain the main thing to watch when a busy sequence begins.
A Sonic-Themed Browser Rhythm Game
The HTML5 version uses artwork and music from the original Hedgehog Speed mod, including its title background and animated logo. Its menus focus on the Sonic content, with access to Story Mode, Freeplay, Options, and the original creators’ credits.
You can play directly in a supported browser without installing the Windows version. Whether you want to follow the story sequence or practice all eight tracks, FNF: Hedgehog Speed offers several ways to explore its Sonic-inspired rhythm battles.
