Enjoy Playing Elite Commando

I recently stumbled on Elite Commando, and it immediately scratched that old-school shooter itch I didn’t even know I had. You play as a one-man army dropped into wave after wave of heavily armed enemies, and the pace never lets up. From the moment you start blasting through your basic rifle to when you unlock the rocket launcher and sniper rifle, there’s this addictive loop of “clear the screen, grab your bonus, and rush into the next firefight.”

What I really like is how generous it feels without being overpowered. You earn credits as you play, and the upgrade shop gives you real choices—do you beef up your damage, boost your armor, or snag that grenade launcher you’ve had your eyes on? Then there are the boss fights sprinkled between stages, each throwing a new pattern or trick your way that makes you rethink your strategy. And if you’re the type who hunts high scores, those S-rank runs keep you coming back for more.

Visually, it nails that pixel-art charm without feeling like a crutch; every explosion and character animation has a satisfying weight to it. The soundtrack pumps you up just enough to stay in the zone, but it never overstays its welcome. All in all, if you’re in the mood for a quick, crunchy side-scroller that’s easy to pick up and hard to put down, Elite Commando is a surprisingly solid pick.
