Explore a Busy City

Drive for Speed places you behind the wheel in a large city filled with roads, turns, traffic, and driving tasks. The game gives you more freedom than a simple race. You can follow a mission, explore the streets, or work toward buying a better car. Each trip gives you a reason to learn the city and improve your control.

Complete Timed Missions

Many missions come with a time limit. You need to reach the marked place or finish the required task before the clock reaches zero. Speed helps, but careless driving can waste more time than it saves. Hitting obstacles or taking a wrong road may leave you far from the target. A steady driver can often finish faster than someone who presses forward without watching the route.

Successful missions reward you with money. You can save these earnings and choose from a collection of different cars. Faster vehicles make later tasks easier, though each car still needs careful steering.

Buy and Change Your Cars

Drive for Speed offers twenty cars that players can purchase. You can also change different parts of a vehicle. Options include paint, tires, rims, spoilers, and engine improvements. These choices let you create a car that looks different and performs better.

The Free Ride mode removes the pressure of a mission. You can drive around the city, test a newly purchased vehicle, and become familiar with the streets. This mode also gives new players a calm place to practise turning and braking.

Improve Your Driving

Drive for Speed works best when you look ahead instead of watching only the back of the car. Slow down before a sharp corner and leave space around other vehicles. Save money for upgrades that help with missions you find difficult.

The mix of timed jobs, open driving, new cars, and visual changes gives Drive for Speed a clear sense of progress. Each completed task brings you closer to a faster vehicle and more enjoyable trips around the city.
