Hit enter at the yellow start prompt. Use arrow keys to pick options on the welcome screen. The menu displays game controls. It also lets you toggle audio. You can view credits. Press backspace or the B button to return to the menu. Levels unlock one after another. The browser stores your progress. It keeps track of completed stages and coins.
On PC arrow keys move and jump. A tap drops ropes. Space fires bullets. On a game pad the dpad handles movement. It also handles jumping. Press A or down to release ropes. Press X to shoot. The interface shows your health. It displays the level number. It tracks coins and score. Unlocked stages appear in green on the map. Cleared stages carry a checkmark. The first fourteen stages pit you against three cyborg types. Pink models attack differently. Green models move in another pattern. Brown models act in their own way. You can destroy each with four shots or a barrel blast. Releasing ropes stops your guard and leaves you open to hits.
Stage fifteen sends you into a boss fight with a giant skull. It takes over one hundred shots to beat. The skull glows amber. Climb vines into its path to avoid damage. It switches to green. Hang from the top vine and shoot. It switches to red. Stay low and hug the screen edge. It switches to blue. Drop to the vine below the top and fire. Jump to dodge each shot. The boss vanishes at intervals. Three green cyborgs rush the screen. Tear them down fast. You can replay any cleared stage at will. Reach the far right with some health to clear a stage. Falling off a ledge ends the attempt. Losing all health ends the attempt. You earn points for each bot you shoot. You earn more for each barrel blast. You also pick up coins along the way. Points and coins stick after a reset.
