Control the Creature Everyone Else Fears
Death Worm puts you in control of a giant underground monster instead of the people trying to survive it. The creature moves beneath the ground and bursts upward to attack anything that crosses its territory.
People and animals become targets. Cars and tanks can also be destroyed. The action becomes even larger when planes, helicopters, military forces, and eventually aliens join the fight.
The Flash version contains 15 levels and around 30 types of enemies. Each stage gives the worm more things to deal with as the opposition becomes stronger.
Build Speed Beneath the Surface
The controls focus on movement rather than complicated button combinations. The Up arrow accelerates the worm. The Left and Right arrows change its direction.
A good attack often begins underground.
You can build speed and angle the worm toward the surface. The creature then launches out of the ground and can hit targets above it. A strong jump may reach people, vehicles, birds, or flying enemies before the worm falls back toward the earth.
Learning the correct angle makes a difference. Coming out of the ground too early may place the worm behind the target. A better approach can send it directly through several objects.
Fight Back With Special Abilities
The worm is not limited to biting whatever it touches. Pressing Space fires a fireball. This helps against targets that stay outside the easiest jumping range.
The N key activates a Nitro power-up. Nitro gives the creature another burst of movement when extra speed can help.
These abilities become more useful once the military sends tougher machines. Helicopters and other airborne enemies are harder to reach with a simple surface attack.
Complete Goals and Become Stronger
Each stage gives you targets to destroy and goals to reach. The worm can also receive upgrades that improve its ability to survive and cause more damage.
Combos reward attacks that destroy several targets close together. Instead of chasing one person at a time, you can aim for crowded sections and try to create a larger chain of destruction.
Death Worm keeps adding stronger opposition as you move forward. Small targets soon give way to military vehicles and more dangerous enemies.
The game combines simple movement with good timing. You spend part of each stage hidden underground, then choose the right moment to rush toward the surface.
Every attack starts with the same basic question. Where should the worm emerge next? Finding the best answer is what turns random movement into a successful run.
