Help the Miner Clear the Tunnel
Gold Mine Strike is a block puzzle game where a miner faces a wall of rocks, minerals, and gold. The blocks slowly move toward the miner and his mine cart. Your job is to break enough of them before the growing wall reaches him.
Instead of swapping blocks around the board, the miner throws a pickaxe. You choose which group to hit, so every throw needs a useful target.
Break Groups of Matching Blocks
Gold Mine Strike lets you destroy groups containing two or more matching blocks. Clicking or tapping a suitable group sends the pickaxe toward it and removes those pieces. Larger groups let you clear more space with one throw.
Removing blocks changes the shape of the wall. A good choice can expose another large group behind it. Clearing small groups without looking ahead can leave awkward columns that move dangerously close to the miner.
The wall keeps creating pressure. You need to think about useful matches while also watching which blocks sit closest to the cart.
Collect Gold and Useful Items
Gold blocks give you something valuable to collect during the stages. Treasure chests can also contain helpful bonus items. Power-ups provide extra ways to deal with difficult parts of the mine.
The gold you collect can help improve power-ups. This gives your progress a purpose beyond clearing one wall of blocks.
Some stages also give you a target to complete before the blocks reach the miner. You need enough successful throws to clear the required amount and continue.
Choose Every Pickaxe Throw Carefully
Gold Mine Strike uses simple mouse or touch controls, but the puzzle becomes harder when several different block types fill the screen.
Large matching groups usually give you a better result than tiny ones. Dangerous columns also need attention before they move too close.
