Guide a Small Animal Through Busy Paths
Cross That Road is an endless arcade game where you help a small animal travel across roads, railway tracks, and rivers. The goal is to move forward for as long as possible without getting hit by traffic, struck by a train, or dropped into the water. Each safe step adds to your distance and improves your score.
The journey has no fixed finish line. New dangers keep appearing as the animal moves ahead. One area may contain slow cars with wide spaces between them. The next road may have several fast vehicles moving in opposite directions.
Move One Step at a Time
Use the arrow keys to move forward, backward, left, or right. On a mobile device, swipe in the direction you want the animal to travel. The simple controls make Cross That Road easy to understand, but good timing decides how long each run lasts.
Do not rush into a road as soon as you reach it. Watch the vehicles and find a safe opening first. A small move to the left or right may place the animal in a much better position for the next crossing.
Moving backward can also help. It gives you a chance to escape after stepping forward too early. Staying still for too long may become risky, so players need to make decisions without waiting forever.
Cross Railways and Rivers Carefully
Railway tracks need extra attention because trains move much faster than normal traffic. Look for warning signs and avoid standing on the track. Crossing immediately after a train passes often gives you the safest chance to reach the other side.
Rivers cannot be crossed by stepping directly into the water. The animal needs to jump onto floating logs, water lilies, boats, or other moving objects. These platforms travel across the river, so you must move again before they carry the character off the edge.
Collect Coins and Unlock More Animals
Coins appear along the route. Collecting them allows you to unlock more animal characters. A coin may sit in a dangerous lane, so it is not always worth chasing. Staying alive and moving forward should remain the main goal.
Cross That Road rewards patience, quick reactions, and careful observation. Every run creates a different mix of cars, trains, and moving river platforms. Players can keep returning to beat their previous distance and unlock more animals.
