About Toxie Radd 3D

I stumbled across Toxie Radd 3D not long ago, and I’ve got to say, it caught me completely off guard—in a good way. You play as Toxie, this wildly mutated turtle with an attitude problem and a penchant for gnarly skate tricks. The world is a kaleidoscope of neon-lit back alleys and grungy industrial zones, all rendered with a chunky, almost retro-futuristic vibe that makes you feel like you’re trapped in an acid trip from the early ’90s. It’s part platformer, part beat ’em up, and surprisingly polished for what feels like an indie project.

On the gameplay front, Toxie Radd 3D nails that sweet spot between tight combat and exploration. You’ve got a decent arsenal of makeshift weapons—everything from spiked baseball bats to jury-rigged flamethrowers—and each one feels satisfying to swing, blast or lob at the various mutant weirdos roaming the levels. The skating mechanic is surprisingly robust: grind rails, catch air off ramps, and chain together tricks for extra health and ammo drops. There are hidden side rooms tucked behind breakable walls, and those secret paths almost always reward you with a new weapon mod or a cheeky bit of lore about Toxie’s origins.

Beyond the core action, what really sold me was the soundtrack and the pacing. The music is this thumping mix of punk, electronic and old-school game melodies that somehow never overstays its welcome. Boss fights break up the stages just enough to keep you on your toes, but you never feel like you’re in a drawn-out slog. Even if you just pop into a single level, you’ll get a taste of what makes the game tick—colorful chaos, goofy one-liners, and that sweet satisfaction of chaining a fatal combo. It’s not perfect—some camera angles can get wonky when you skate through tight corners—but it’s got enough personality and raw fun that I can’t wait to see where Toxie’s adventures go next.
