Enjoy Playing Crossy Road (2nd Version – A Clone)
I picked up Crossy Road (2nd Version – A Clone) the other day and was immediately struck by how familiar it felt. The blocky, pixel-style graphics and the simple tap-and-swipe controls are practically identical to what you’d expect from the original Crossy Road, but this version sneaks in a few little twists that keep things fresh. Instead of just crossing roads and rivers, you’ll sometimes find yourself dodging construction zones, hopping onto skateboards for a speed boost, or even sliding across frozen ponds without cracking the ice beneath you.
What really hooked me was the way the game paces itself. You start off with the basic chicken character, tapping forward and sideways to avoid cars, trains, and river currents, but soon you’re gathering coins and unlocking a slew of wacky skins—from astronauts to mythical creatures. There’s a real thrill in saving up just enough coins to spin the mystery box and see what surprise you get next. It feels rewarding without ever getting stale, because each character can change the way you play ever so slightly.
Of course, being a clone means there are sometimes annoying ads popping up between runs, and I did notice that a few of the in-app purchases are priced a bit higher than I expected. But the flipside is that the developers seem to be constantly tweaking the game, rolling out themed events and limited-time challenges that bring fresh obstacles, like zombie cars or slippery oil spills. I actually find myself opening the app more often than I thought I would, just to see what’s new.
All told, Crossy Road (2nd Version – A Clone) scratches the same itch that made the original so addictive, while sneaking in small bonuses that keep you coming back. It’s perfect for quick play sessions—waiting for your coffee, killing time on the bus, or whenever you’ve got a spare minute to see how far you can hop before that next car zooms by. If you’re a fan of simple yet endlessly replayable games, this clone is definitely worth a shot.
